Regular inspections protect your investment and catch problems before they become expensive repairs. CoverIT Canada performs maintenance visits on all major fabric building brands — with full written condition reports.
A fabric building is a long-term investment. MegaDome® structures are engineered for 25+ years of service and the PowerShield® membrane is rated for 15–20 years — but only when the building receives the care it needs.
Small issues found early — a loose lacing, a developing frame warp, a hardware fitting that needs lubrication — are inexpensive to fix. Left alone, they accelerate wear and can compromise the structure. We’ve seen buildings fail years before they should have, simply because they weren’t inspected on a regular schedule.
CoverIT Canada offers maintenance visits for buildings of all brands — not just MegaDome®. Whether you have a Coverall, Britespan, Legacy, or any other structure, we can inspect it and give you a written condition report.
Every maintenance visit includes a systematic check of all critical building components. We follow the MegaDome® owner’s schedule as a baseline and expand based on building age and condition.
Visual inspection of all foundation types — concrete blocks, grade beams, perimeter walls, and helical anchors. We check for cracks, settlement, and block alignment.
We check for untied braces, bent purlins, warped or damaged arch sections, and any slack steel cables. These are the most common wear points on aging buildings.
Integrity check of the entire membrane — tarp turnbuckle tension, safety bolts, and any wear or damage along the lacing system. Early detection prevents panel failure.
Lubrication of all door mechanisms per manufacturer specs. Ventilation devices checked to confirm they’re functioning and providing adequate airflow.
Ontario winters put fabric buildings under significant stress. Snow accumulation on the roof and sides is the most serious concern — and monitoring it is the building owner’s responsibility after every major storm.
MegaDome® buildings are engineered for Ontario snow loads, but they must be cleared when accumulation approaches recommended limits. We recommend all owners maintain a log of post-storm inspections and any clearing performed.
Wind management is equally important. All building openings — doors and ventilation systems — should be closed when wind speed exceeds 50 km/h. Leaving openings exposed in high wind creates uplift forces that the building is not designed to resist.
A maintenance visit from CoverIT Canada includes a full written inspection report covering every component of your building. We flag any items needing attention, give you a cost estimate for any repairs, and let you decide how to proceed — no obligation.
We serve all of Ontario. Site visits are priced based on travel distance.
